Gaspari real mass. Is a good weigh gainer as its high calories, high carbs and low fat.
1200cals per shake. I usually have two half shakes
£50 for 5kg. Taste decent too

Usn igf1 is a good whey protein. Just a good pure protein. Bit expensive tho

Again this is from experience

Yea pretty much this.

Essentially you should be looking at WPC80, whey protein concentrate 80%.

Various manufacturers supply this unflavoured product which yields 80% protein content. This is the standard byproduct of cheese manufacture which is sold to the supplement industry.

Different companies then add colouring, flavouring, sweeteners, creatine, etc etc etc (often pushing the protein content down to 78%) put it in a pretty tub and charge you 20 quid a kilo.

I prefer to buy the WPC80 in its unflavoured state for about a tenner a kilo and add my own flavourings if I want to, although I rarely bother.

The same product, the same amino acid profile, it's just the additives which make a difference to the end result and price.

VG, do you really not add flavourings?

I often struggled with drinking the flavoured whey, let alone unflavoured.

Yea I don't mind the taste, just milky really. I tend to just chug it down. The way I see it is that it can't be the most unpleasant thing I put myself through for training, so I just get on with it Happy

You are talking to a man who used to drink spag bol smoothies and the like if I couldn't scoff it down when I was force feeding myself Grin

LOL fair point.

I was always pretty frustrated that I couldn't drink whey easily, just had to keep telling myself that they remove it from cheese because it tastes gash!

Chocolate milk for the win for me.

Lol I once had a salmon smoothie when I didn't have time for lunch before work. Was terrible.

Where do you get your unflavoured whey?

I used to buy the whey consortium (was probably wpc 80) stuff years ago, and as VG has said just tastes "milky".

It is years since Ive bought that stuff now, and currently using some myprotein chocolate smooth flavoured whey.

I cant get over the price of some of the stuff on the market (I think marketing is pretty powerful when it comes to sports supplements anyway isn't it?! Roll-Eyes )

I'd be upset if I was paying anymore than £8-12 / kilo for something that actually tastes nice and is decent*

*I'm probably not sure what "decent" is but anyway....

Any recommended suppliers forWPC80 stuff?

I have looked Into the 90%+ isolate whey that you can get, is it worth if?
