Never.I dont believe this.As much as i am a fan of him.The person who said that must be wrong.240kg x 2 on log lift? If thats really the case he would piss the 230kg all over the place

Is it really that hard to believe?

On all of Z's max log attempts that I can currently recall, the press was very easy for him and the only thing that gave him any difficulty was balance / stabilisation (let not even mention how easily the cleans the damn things Happy)

I can quite easily believe that he's hit a 240kg double in his own gym with his own log to be honest

Hey Donnie i have to correct you.Zydrunas hasn't done it in 2006.
At Europes strongest Man where he pressed the 221kg he himself said in the Interview afterwards he never has done the 221kg in Training as he does more Repitions.

So if Terry says that and Zydrunas himself than i absolutely believe that.
I thought some random Person claimed that.Thats why i was skeptical.

Its also pretty amazing that he can get that fast in shape. How can you get that strong in such a short time?

Not that i don't believe he has done 220kg 9 years ago.But i was a bit confused that he said that this 221kg world record was the highest weight he ever lifted on log.Even in training he didn't lift more as he goes more for reps.

But not that it is important i was just confused.

I am so excited about next weeks competition

MarkClegg said:I predict the log lifts will be great and of a decent standard . By far the biggest collection of lifts we've ever seen ..

However

Some of the predictions I've seen have been obsurd IMO !

If an athlete hits the weight he's been doing in training then that's an amazing achievement because he can have as many tries as he wants and there's no pressure and you'll only ever see the video of that perfect attempt . It's his log in his gym with his people and no referree ..

Most things I've read seem a bit unrealistic . Like Benni hitting 200kg which for him MUST be a 20-30kg Personal Best yet people are saying he'll hit 220kg on the day and other such examples ..

I think they'll be 5+ guys going 200kg plus which is incredible !!

I hope Hixxy & Eddie both share the top 2 spots !!

It will be a great comp for sure !

Believe it or not some guys lift better under pressure when it really matters

Wink

Not all guys are youtube warriors, or indeed lift more in the warm up room than on the platform.

As I said SOME guys lift better under pressure and some who are maybe not up for the fight lift far less then they can in training.

Fortunately for me I always did my best lifts in comps Wink

Agreed but you dismissed my statement as if Smallsy had written it :-)

When it's very technical like a log lift it falls into a similar game as Olympic lifting .. It's tougher under the competition environment and very easy to make a slight technical error .

All I was saying is the predictions wouldn't be reached and I was correct !

I'm sorry I was right mate - I hate it when that happens .

I'm a youtube warrior I except that and you WAS better in comp than training .. I also except that .
