Is it the same tyre for both slim and fat competitive groups? Or do the slim guys have a smaller tyre as per original post? What is the db like - Circus, single great lump or plates on it Finally the sleeper - is it covered in oil and did it come from a sustainable source? Sorry got my environmental head on! Thank you for your detailed queries. The log is the big type, it is 70kg empty as far as a know. We will be using the same tyre for both the skinny boys and the fat boys, it has been tested by some smaller individuals so it can be done. The dumbell would be a normal dumbell, we are possibly changing it for something more exciting looking of a simlar weight. This will be tested before the day. The sleeper easily handled, it is cut from the finest brazilian mahogony and will have a picture of the winners face carved into it where it will then be displayed in a victory parade through the centre of london alongside the olympic torch. Apologies for any last minute changes to the equipment/ events. The whole comp has been put on at short notice and we are doing our best to make it a fun day for the athletes and the crowd.

The carving is a nice touch and I've nominated the event for a Friends of The Earth "Green Strongman" award. Bring on Sunday. Just hope I make weight. Will there be a list of entries posted or numbers?

Will there be a list of entries posted or numbers? I will try and a get a full list of names from the gym this week, but from memory I think there was 12-14 lads in the under 95kg class and 6 or 7 in the overs. Still room in the overs if anyone is interested?? Latest update: Every athlete will recieve a tub of 'refuel' and free bottled water on the day provided by Krunch Gym. There will also be a sports masseuse on hand for the athletes to use between events to help prevent injuries (this is all free). And the extra 'mini' competitions now include bodyweight bench press, NRG Fuel crucifix hold, and sumo wrestling (in those blow up sumo suits)- seriously!!! There are prizes for all of these extras. There is also set to be a bouncy castle and face painting for the kids. Hope you're all ready!
