Does it screw off then ? never had Ivanko bars

Any closer to getting the cap off this bar yet fella ?

that cap has to come off in a humane way ? is that a little hole in it ? mabie tap tap tap it round with a screwdriver n hammer ..ivankos are so sexy that it must be screwon or just a tight fit

simply solution, short length broom handle down the barrel of the sleeve whacked with a mallet ! straight out !!

i think ive found the problem, there is a large clip ring underneath the cap inside a grove
(thats another thing im struggling to get out).

Under the clip there is the remains of (quarter section to be exact) of a uneven shaped washer. When i say "uneven i mean it is slightly wider on two sides like this http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/3900/clipboard01dx.jpg

i guess the wider sections of this washer hold the bar in the sleeve.

I'd probably check for any damage to the grooves and if there is any carefully tidy it up with a swiss file. In terms of getting a replacement clip I'd probably email Ivanko and ask them for the spec of the clip (they might even send you one for next to nothing) because you could spend ages at an engineers suppliers trying to find the exact same clip. info@ivanko.com or info@ivankobarbell.com

Im approching this from both ends, you guys on here and I've emailed ivanko on saturday and they got bk to me saying they do a internal componets kit for $25 + postage from US

My main issue right now is the fact i cant get the large clip ring out, so even if i did get a replacemet washer i cant fit it !
