robocop said:Just cheat put your belt on under your t-shirt stainless is an old man eyes not the best, Grin Grin

Plus you can still continental just put your belt nice and tight and generate an axle shelf
Just need to lean back a bit more, plus on the day you will feel no pain with adrenaline

Look at the way everybody does it at arnolds even misha continentals these days

Anyone wanting to come up and practice on kit is more than welcome

So you cant rest it on your belt but you can rest it on your gut that is resting on your belt? Makes a complete nonsense of the rule IMO.

No belt cleans - thats me f**ked then! lol. Mind you, have to get that far in the medley anyway so might not be an issue... will start training them next week.

Anyhoo... about the stones height? Can you confirm its 48"? It is 48" right? You wouldn't stitch me up twice would you? Grin

MrSmall said:130k power clean on an axle should be doable for grip beasts or those thereabouts I thought?

for reps? no chance! outside Woods, Millsy has the best grip I know, and he wouldnt do a 130 axle PC for more than one!

Olly - its always been the case that belt cleans arent allowed but the belly on which the axle is placed can rest on the belt....just watch Arnolds.

It'd be a very hard practice to stop really, unless all continentals had to be to the top of the belly!

Ther is no problem as I see it: (i) guys have plenty of notice (ii) the same applied at UKs last year (and most guys didnt know about it then)

Just because it's always been done doesnt make it a good thing.

Anyways, let's not get this off topic. Those are the rules and everyone knows them early enough to make it fair.

Refs better be consistant though, otherwise it can open a rather large can of worms...

I agree Traps, chances are the guys will need to do beltless cleans at UKs. so may as well get training them now for Brits.

Mate if it's good enough for arnolds it's good enough for any comp IMO
We where never gonna please everyone as there was a divide on issue, but this has only been the only point raised with events so I am pretty happy
