I eat a lot of meat Member 5124, 2996 posts SQ 245, BP 130, DL 275650.0 kgs @ 105kgs UnEq | I'm in a glass case of emotion right now! Mixed feelings I guess... Anger, rage, jealousy, shock, hungry (Not related to video) I'm not really too clued up on raw lifting, so I'm unsure as to where that amount of weight ranks in terms of gear lifting. 16 however is amazing to be working at a powerlifting strength level, but I kind of feel cheated that he is in gear with his spotters all over that bar. Someone please educate me as I;m just trying to dismiss it that I'm twice his age and as weak as a retired whores pelvic floor.

It is 4kg above the world record in the open age category, 40-50kg more than CYC can do 40kg more than Konovalov can do.

FFS... Ok so it is a huge lift. In terms of his lift though, surely that is nowhere near comp standard right?

There isn't much wrong with it - Maybe a split second longer on the chest and a slightly more convincing lockout out, but I've seen worse given. What do you think is so wrong with it?

What do you think is so wrong with it? I would say the spotters were from the school of Lillibridge and cuddling the plates, the lockout is super soft and it looks very helped. But to be honest, I'm jealous really but I find equipped benching a bit of a con for some reason?

But to be honest, I'm jealous really but I find equipped benching a bit of a con for some reason? The spotters are top class, which they need to be to safely handle that kind of weight. There is only the centre spotter touching the bar during the lift off, then no other spotters touch the bar until its being re-racked. They are spotting that close because that's the best way of ensuring the safety of the lifter. As I said, there are a couple of minor issues with the lift (soft lockout and could do with a slightly longer pause), but the spotting ain't one of them. Macca
