an Agent? I suppose she got a bit of TV time before the commonwealths. Those weightlifting gods sure no how to bum their lifters though.

thanks guys, its the postage that adds it up. I am just looking for a few things for the back garden, a log might be a good idea too and I see JT has them on his site. Ill email JT and email Roosk. James, are you ever heading back to the pleasance again?

anyone know where I can get a big round stone from, one of those Atlas boys around 120kg? and how much would delivery cost to Edinburgh?

I want one for the back garden for my 1 year old to aspire to lift. He is currently lifting the "In the night garden" ball around his nursery and I think he has potential unlike his fat old dad.

I used to train at the same time as chris hoy and another cyclist names craig maclean at the Pleasance when he was a student there (about 1998). they were both squatting around 210 at the time with decent form. I would have no doubt he is squatting 225-230kg.

BigKen said:Sadly I never got to meet Paul, but good to hear I'm not the only s**t bencher in Scottish strongman history haha!!

He was a great bloke. He was squatting about 260kg for 6 raw and around 320-340 in briefs. Deadlifted around 340 in the gym.

He chased his dream of Scotlands Strongest man for years and if a "s**t bench" is anything to go by that title will be yours one day sir

I used to train with Paul Porteous who won Scotlands Strongest Man in 2004 or 2005 (he died in 2005) and he could only bench about 160kg, great squatter and deadlifter

I heard Denise Lewis mention Harry AA on BBC1, it seems he has slowed a little over 100m recently according to her, f**k knows. He is incredibly powerful though!

As for Tommy, Id be happy to have him spot me on any squat (NO HOMO.) the man is a legend.

Keys when he says baby oil it does not mean strip off, pump up the guns and start touting for business. its for your thighs...

how does the whole last man standing work? do you have to lift every weight that everyone else does or can you opt to miss a lift?
