Weightlifting wins back UK Sport Funding

19th March 2014 - Posted by Rob British Weightlifting has won back its UK Sport Funding after a successful appeal.

Funding now stands at £1.8 million, and was reinstated after British Weightlifting proposed a new strategy with the focus on developing leading female athletes, such as Zoe Smith, in order to challenge for medals by Tokyo 2020.
