can any of you give me some tips on this please... my questions are,

shall I melt it down with a blow torch or would that ruin it?
if its a hot day and I had access to a fridge, would you keep it in the fridge or doesn't it matter?
how long before you do your stone run would you apply it?

thanks in advance people..

Spider tacky doesn't need heating like the usual tacky. Just rip a blob out of tub andd work it in hands and apply! Simples

I've used spider tack quite a few times and I will go against the grain here and say in some I ve not always had good results with it (withOUT heating). I cant remember which type I had - I think it was the normal, not 'lite' stuff. On a few occasions I was literally having to reapply it after each stone rep!Angry

i have alway liked Dave Ostlunds stuff and the Honey wax stuff but each to there own.
just remember to put the tacky on just before you go out or there will be a chamce that it will go off and not be as effective

Doesn't need heating, but as already mentioned you can lose it quite easily, especially if it's very hot or the stones are very dusty. Make sure the backs of your hands are loaded up.

one this i have thought about is putting minimal tack on for the lighter stones then re apply for the heavier ones with the chance of less failiurs

I use honey wax for training and im not finding it great for a stone run.. my plan is to slap the spider on and use honey wax as back up for the heaviest stone (if needed)??

I found spider tacky great for one stone and rubbish for a run, it also takes ages to get it ready if you need to reapply. Try working the leg wax with your hands until it looks a bit like spider tacky then apply a few layers on your arms. Its also loads cheaper than spider tacky

In the winter when I'm outside or in the garage, ill put the spider smacky by my space heater, but basically just slap in on . I place a little glob on my knuckle side of your hand. Sometimes you need it when they give you dirty balls.
