has anyone else ever used reverse and/or one arm deadlifts as accessory lifts to conventional deadlifts? i have been doing both for two weeks the reverse deadlifts hit the hamstrings very well,i suppose one arms are more of a grip thing

Used to do them at the end of a workout with a big group more as a bit of fun rather then an actual training aid. No straps, right hand then left, chalk only..good banter.

Best is 180kg with a hook grip.

by one arms i mean lifting the bar from the centre as you face it,not side on as you would lift a cylinder either way lifting 180kg with one arm is quite strong

I did some one arm deadlift when i broke my left thumb. IMO its not really a great assistance exercise more of a circus lift. there are much better exercises for grip strength.
