Followed a basic Ed Coan progressive plan... 8's dropping to 5's, 3's, 2's and finally max... End max due was 190kg. Seemed to work... Followed the same for squats and bench... Best program I've followed but I also added in key weakness improving work too... It's made a huge difference.

I'm doing an ed coan routine ATM too. Sounds similar. Training 5 times a week. 1 or 2 top sets per main movement.

Its a really basic routine, starting with 8's and dropping to doubles over 14 weeks..what he used over and over in his day. Basic progressive overload really then I did another day using bands or another variation to hit my specific weakness. Quite a lot of bb accessory work in there too.

Hit a ropey 192.5kg today..ill at the moment too. That's it now, knocking things back for a few months and slowly build up again...

I've been having a bad training period recently so didn't want to depress myself watching you bench 190kg!

Anyway, I'm feeling over my mental doldrums so decide to watch the 190kg................then see you've also posted a 192.5kg. I mean come on, think of the kids!! (By kids I mean those less strong than you!!)

Lovely fight on that 192.5 BTW I'd have given up halfway through and crushed myself!

Lol thank you mate, much appreciated. Lol I was never going to give up on that lift...been in competition with a kid at my gym...he hit 187.5kg...I hit 190kg...he failed 192.5kg so I had to nail it to prove a point. Hes only bloody 23, i'm 40 next year so needed to do it for us oldies lol!

Thanks mate...next strength cycle that's my goal...want to edge towards 5 plates next year.
