Hey guys, I'm relatively new to powerlifting, and I've recently been experiencing pretty bad elbow pain in squatting and benching. My amateur diagnosis is tricep tendinitis lol. Ive been icing it. Compressing it and massaging it. And the pain keeps coming back. I've widened my grip in squats which has helped alot! And I'm planning to invest in a pair of elbow sleeves as soon as my student loan comes in. Any advice would be much appreciated thanks! I'd like to get health for the british classic championships Happy

Do you bench raw?
I get the same pain when I bench heavy in a shirt as it pulls the tendon in both directions!

Sounds about right with tricep tendons swollen!

Try squatting higher bar with hand position a little wider than normal!

Try diclofenac ( how ever it's spelt ) long acting anti inflams

Yes I bench raw, I'm doing unequipped competition for now. I get the pain when I'm pressing heavy and doing tricep extensions.
Thank you! Do u find the pain comes and goes or your able to push though it

have a play with hand/arm position on squats, your arms shouldnt be taking the weight of the bar just holdning it in position i find a false grip on squats holding the bar with my palms is really comfy and secure. a few people i know have had elbow tendonitis from tricep extensions, try leaving them out for a few weeks and see how it feels
