Rodger said:I tried eating strict Paleo for about 2 weeks. My mrs tried it too and hated it pretty much to the letter (apart from added in peanut butter).

It was quite strange having turkey and blue berries for breakfast.....Roll-Eyes Wink

I agree with Macca and VG (although I do eat junk food once a week say)

What did you hate?

Meat, fish, veg, salad, fruit...? Bacon and eggs for breakfast?

She puts down a "paleo diet" based on a couple of debatable/incorrect assumptions and then recommends a diet which is pretty much a paleo diet!

Disagree. She basically explained that what Palio man most likely ate is not the same as the Palio diet, all of which made sense. She was not there to criticise the make up of the diet, just to say that the name was inaccurate, which I agree with.

I thought it was pretty good

I agree it's not the best name . However does it really matter what it's called or whether Paleo man actually ate it? Surely I should be judged on what is being recommended to eat?

Indeed, t is not the best name. Palio mans actual diet sounds meagre and rough. That is basically her point, it's not what Palio man would have eaten.

She doesn't seem to me to be criticising the content of the diet, just the historical in accuracy of the use of the name, which being an archeologist she is right to do
