I decided to experiment with sweet potatoes in the pressure cooker. I added a little too much water, but I reckon a tiny splash at first, then drain it out after 5 minutes will work wonders. 25ish minutes total cooking time and they were cooked all the way through.
Thoroughly enjoyed with a salmon steak with organic, fermented soya sauce and a tiny bit of rock salt.

Went to a Chinese all you can eat with a half-Chinese girl.
4 bowls of wonton soup for myself
3 orders of salt and chilli squid, salt and chilli prawns, seaweed, 1 order of prawn on toast, 1 order bbq pork ribs (amazingly soft, literally separated off the bone with a spoon)
Prawns and chinese mushrooms, quarter duck with pancakes, spring onion, cucumber, most definitely had some other stuff too. 2 pots of jasmine tea, shared.

After 2 hours, she had to leave, but I wasn't anywhere near full.

Service was a little slow. I don't feel happy until I feel sick. I did tell her she might have to leave me there to carry on, and she did say I can stay if I wish. I'm not sure that would be good date etiquette if I told her to go and leave me to eat.

Have you watched Universal Soldier? I just want to eat!

Little bro had a car crash, so went without breakfast. Bed to door in 2 minutes, including rolling and smoking a cigarette, coffee, and tooth brushing. None of it was thorough.
Car ran a red light, luckily bro just stole a company car, and it was a good'un. If he were in his mini or MK1 golf, he'd be a gonner. 200m from his work's garage.
Home at 3, waiting, he's still changing a gearbox. Couldn't be bothered to wait, so 8pm I put on some food.

Carrots, parsnips, potatoes, celery, sweet potatoes, rosemary, garlic, salt pepper.
Rack of ribs (he's an eejit and paid £24 for enough lamb for 3 average portions because they're trimmed) marinated in garlic and rosemary, seared, then in the oven on top of the veg. Might post a photo. Proud. Breakfast will be served at 9pm.

Made dinner using stuff lying around in my friend's house.

Dusted two skin-on chicken breasts in flour seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic granules.
Fried skin side down for 5-7 minutes: then other side for a few minutes. Placed on dish.

Added a little extra oil and a pack of cherry tomatoes and sliced mushrooms to the pan - along with seasoning, more garlic granules and dried mushroom powder.

Once sauteed, deglaze pan with white wine, then added chicken stock. Added a pack of Cooked Puy Lentils. Reduced slightly.

Placed the chicken breasts in the mixture - with the skin above the sauce - and poached for 15-20 minutes.

Made some garlic ciabatta in the oven. Served the chicken/lentil/tomato/mushroom mixture in bowls - sprinkled with lemon zest/juice and basil - along with the garlic ciabatta.

Had it with Bread & Butter Chardonnay. Everyone seemed happy.

I spent a week in Dublin eating out. There isn't much of a selection in the town I live so was a pleasant treat.
Tried Brazilian Gaucho from BAH33. Really reasonable BBQ somewhat let down by the sides of Polenta chips and Cassava. I'm still not sure what Cassava is except it's bland.

I live in a sea fishing town with no sushi, so had Korean mad sushi rolls which were particularly hot and very traditional sushi in another place. I missed eel and tuna rolls. Went back for fried chicken Gochujang and kimchi with fish row. yum.

Tried my first authentic Nepalese too. Expensive Indian.

Nepalese sounds like a more niche market, which is why it's "an expensive Indian".

Not surprised by the study linking eating late with obesity - if you cut out eating after 7pm, you're going to be taking in less calories per 24 hours, therefore less likely to be obese!
