I was really looking forward to doing the harness truck pull in the 105’s. Surely it must be easier than arm over arm? I have only done them with a sled but could only use half the weight for arm over arm.

Is the log for the 105’s still ifsa spec diameter but just shorter? What is the time limit for the log and the deadlift? 75secs?

Also what is the handle height for the frames and what is the distance?

Hope to start training again next week but still cant get my socks on let alone deadlift.

Many thanks

logs for the 105s are smaller narrower logs, logs for opens are not IFSA spec, but closer to it (longer and larger diameter than 105s log)

as its flat ground either could be as easy once its moving for the truck pull, we will be up to try them out, heavier bodyweight is usually easier to start the pulls so will just need to finalise which way round we do this

Frame handle height is 20" to the very top of the handles and they are thicker then 1 inch....outer diameter is 34mm appx

all times are 75 seconds

the loading medley is now Beer Kegs weight is around 100kg for 5 plus a 6th heavier......this one may change, as we have been promised the kegs and will still need to see them and fill them

the arm over arm / harness we are going to where the engines are kept to give them a try, we will then go with the tougher option for opens

deadlift has been confirmed as BMW sponsers at the moment the plan is a 3 series for the novices and an x5 for the opens, again if its too easy we will add kegs to the back of the vehicle, our frame has 18" ...... again as i dont have direct access to the vehicles i can't determin weights totally until the day.....

frames are 200kg and 300kg

log is 85kg and 120kg

as we dont have a full opens, and plenty of 105s wouldnt be a problem......TBH i think all the events are not too heavy for opens, frame has been lifted by one of our 105s (not carried)
