Keep this updated for me, I'm too lazy to go to myprotein too often as there's only a couple of journals I read there now, I'm not too interested in seeing stronglifts and IF based journals Tongue

I'll keep it updated every few sessions on here, the assistance work really isnt an interesting read but I should log it.

I'll be checking up on you as well!

hey chap, not sure about "good" but hopefully doing something!

Na I live in Crowthorne so a few miles north of camberley. I train out of bridge road barbell just off the frimley road.

A session sounds good, I think we're planning a bit of strongman session with a few guys on Saturday about 10.45-11.00am ish if you're interested?

Looks like you mix things up a lot more than me!

I've never heard of bridge road barbell!?? Sounds awesome though if they have strongman stuff! Not sure I'm ready for strongman training yet mate but I will defo take you up on the offer in the near future hopefully!

Do you compete in powerlifting? Whats ya age/stats? Happy

Yeah, we got log, stones, yoke, farmers handles, kegs, sandbags, prowlers, fat bar, thick DB handles, tyres.....all the good stuff.

I dont think you have to be "ready" for it, its just nice to do something different.

Na dont compete in powerlifting, too weak lol! - The stats in my sig arent too far out. Hurt my back last year so rebuilding my squat and dead lift (with some better form.) Dont bench at all really, never enjoyed it, prefer overhead but still trying to work out how best to make some good progress on it though.

Im 27 btw.

Monday - Push press, meh matched last week, felt weaker/less explosive though, lack of carbs/food I think. Added some weight to the dip and row assistance though....bout the only thing that went well.

Tuesday - Deadlift 192.5kg for a single, fast and pretty comfortable, tried 200kg - forgot how to deadlift. Glute and ham assistance and conditioning, didnt destroy me as much as last time.

Wednesday - Wanted to do some events on saturday, so did squat and log assistance today...nothing worth noting really.

Friday - Wasnt anticpating a great session but not too bad, hit 160kg Squat for a low bar beltless single and then 140 for 3 x 3. Then did 112.5kg high bar for 21 (with some more in the tank). Thinking High bar is more comfortable and easier at the moment!

Saturday - Log - Hit 87kg for a PR single, which was nice, getting my leg drive a little better. Managed a 270kg Yoke walk for 30m, beltless, with no drop and did some tire flips with the big tire. Good day....sore now!

Nice log PB. Also 270 Yoke for 30m is very impressive, heaviest I've gone is 250 and I didn't take it 30m that's for sure.

Kinda wish I hadnt lol. I was not in great shape the rest of the day! Hips still feel a little bit sore today!

Monday - Push Press 95kg for 2 singles, 87.5 for 3,3,2 and upper assitance. Felt good, lockout seems to be becoming less of a weak point.

Tuesday - Deadlift 195kg for a single (beltless) then 170 for 3,3,2 and glute/ham assistance. Got a little lax with the setup and used my lower back more than Id like, felt a little sore the next day.

Thursday - Log 89.5kg for a single, then 79.5kg for 3,3,2. Upper assistance. Not as solid as the 87kg last time but got it overhead.

Friday - Squat 165kg for a single (beltless) then 142.5kg for 3x3 then 115kg x 21 Highbar + lower assistance. Ego hit from dropping down from my 190kg max but certainly using a lot less low back/ quads and more glutes hams, hopefully will catch up soon.

Week review

Need to work on deadlift set up but got some good work in. Two days this week then a week off for holiday.

Monday - Push Press 95kg then 5-6 singles at 90kg - left arm felt weak (not sore or injured though) for no apparent reason - ah well. Alternated safety squats and Military press (3 reps) for about 20 minutes ish for assistance.

Tuesday - Trap bar 216kg beltless then 201kg for 3 x 3 happy considering the work Id done the previous day. Alternated DB bench and Fat DB row (6-8 reps) for 15 minutes - tough but good fun.

Holiday Wednesday through Sunday - Tonnes of walking

Monday - Sports Massage

Tuesday - Couldnt train but got in 30 minutes worth of pull ups, push ups and squats.

Back to proper training tonight fortunately. Need to work on getting my weight down if this SPS comp is happening. Need to lose about 4-5kg in about 5-6 weeks. Should be possible - Just be careful with carb ups. Lets see what happens.

Might be making a few tweaks to the program - I like some of it, other bits not so happy with.

Wednesday - Deadlift to 190kg - went to a semi sumo stance and was a lot happier with my back position, will be running with this for a while. Safety Squat 5x10 and a Hams/abs/upperback circuit.

Thursday - Axel Strict press lots of singles between 77 and 84.5kg probably around 15-20. DB press and Fat DB rows Pr zone for assistance. Good session, want to get back to strict press.

Saturday - Squat low bar to 160kg then 145kg 3 x 3 beltless the 117.5kg x 20 on highbar followed by some ab, low back, split squat circuit. Wasnt to happy with squats today but not too bad but will look for 170kg beltless next week.

Monday - log up to 82kg for lots of singles then a PR zone with incline log press and swiss bar rows. Not amazing - felt a little weak on the log overhead to be honest got some work done though.

Tuesday - Deadlift double over grip to 185 then 170 x 2 x 3 then 172.5kg x 3. Safety squat bar assistance and GHR/Row/AB wheel circuit. Could have done more weight on the double over grip, will give it a proper run next time. Took a little longer over the set up felt a little slower but more stable.

Thursday - barbell Strict press to 80kg for lots of singles, left shoulder felt tight. DB bench and DB row PR zone for 15minutes - got 50 reps for the rows so i'll put the weight up on that. Lacked any explosive power today not sure why.

Friday - High bar belted squat to 175kg then 120kg x 21 reps (had a few more in me) and finished up with changing my form on the GHR do ruin myself in under 3 reps - need to do some work on this. Probably the only good session of the week.

Tuesday - Semi Sumo deads to 155kg x 3 x 5 then 175kg and 185kg singles. Good form and felt powerful. Tire work - felt much easier than last time. SSB and GHR to finish up.

Wednesday - Swiss Bar press up to 68kg x 2 x5 then 3+2. Shoulder felt tight with straight bar last time so switched it out. 50 reps of Fat DB rows and 50reps of DB bench for assistance. Pull overs to stretch out afterwards.

Thursday - Bottom up squats to 130kg then 5 singles at 120kg, worked my legs hard, tying to build some power out of the hole. Tried a 20 repper but they were giving up pretty quickly. FInished up with GHR

Saturday - Highbar Squats to 170kg x 1 then 122.5kg x 21 beltless. Did some press work (shoulder felt more comfortable) finished up with GHRs and pullovers. Squatting outside FTW!
