Member 262, 41 posts | Well, it'll be a good day anyway. It'll definitely be a 'leave your ego at the door' type of contest! Looking forward to making some new friends. And I believe Iain's got a pretty cool prize for whoever is the overall winner...

The southernmost point on the Finnish mainland is Tulliniemi at 59 degrees 48 minutes North, so the most Northerly point in Shetland is further North than the the most southerly point in Finland (all data from Wikipedia)

Member 262, 41 posts | As things stand, Iain's keeping the weights the same. I don't think any more novices have come out of the woodwork!

I'm sure your folks would like an unexpected visit next week-end!

Member 262, 41 posts | I'm not sure if this has been said elsewhere but competitors should be there by 11am for the comp to start around 12ish. The directions to the venue are fairly straightforward but you might think you've gone the wrong way when you come off the main road - you need to go a few hundred metres down a farm track to an old farm steading out on it's own!
