You missed off the shots of me smashing the sacks.......oh no that was in my dreams after training. I just used the sack barrow!

Good sesh yesterday Daz considering that uve had the man flu recently, and not done much strongman training either.

I must admit, it can be quite dangerous to get the man flu at your age. At least you get the government winter heating allowance to keep you warm.

Right having tested the water running through the St Ives U90 2012 events earlier in the week, I have identified as much as more strength I need to be more explosive too.

So in the gym this morning I tested my overhead pressing, in the knowledge that two events need to be pressed out some how.

The conclusion of my strict OH press and jerk is...........there is no kin difference!!! Same weigh! Same speed! Same result!Confused

AM Gym

xtrainer warm up 10 mins

Front squat
warm up sets
100kg 3 sets 5 (felt heavy and well hard)

DB clean and press alternating R/L

34/40/40/40kg x 10 (beathing v heavy)

couldn't get on xtrainer to warm down so sat on concept2 for 500m. nearly died!!

Did some cesty press stuff

Inclines

5 or 6 sets 10 working up to 85kg?
Fly machine 4 sets 10

Rep off with Glen and Damo on tricep push downs - wot fun?

Finished with some concept2

5th January

BB c&p 4 sets 5 at 60kg (makes me breath a bit heavy!)

DL

warm up followed by 4 sets 5 at 170kg

7th January

warm up

FS (joined the mighty John R in the power rack)

worked up to 110kg x 2 - 120/130/130 x 1

BSq (these are quite new to me - not done many)

3 sets 4 at 140
1 set 4 at 160
(didn't like the feel of these at all. very unstable)

Finished with some concelt2 - I could get to like this

Good effort on the back squats considering they are pretty new to you. ofcourse you need to keep up with "loglift larrington" now!!

haha fair comment I often weigh in at 80 during the start of the week but nearly always end up 79 when I lift.
