Mate, that is a ridiculous statement
Africas HIV problem is due to poor sexually practices (due to lack of access to condoms) and other cultural issues (such as witch doctors proclaiming that men having sex with a virgin will clense them of their HIV)
The popes stance of condoms is not too blame her (although I admit, it is not helpfully)
PS. I am not catholic, hate religion and do not believe in God!

For starters, most of North Africa/some of Central Africa are not catholics

check the figures, 11,000 people in Africa are infected with HIV-EVERY DAY
so, I said it would save thousands of lives, and thats unrealistic?

Sub-Saharan Africa accounts for no less than 21% of the total world Christian population. 7 million in africa. Not sure how many are 'Catholics'
