slightly smaller bat Member 15, 304 posts SQ 135, BP 70, DL 147.5352.5 kgs @ 63kgs Eq | OK so as a woman I know my anatomy is very different from all the men and that all those "unisex" leotards and squat suits are in fact unisex only if you are male or have male thigh-hip-bum-waist ratios, which I most certainly dont! My question is how painful and tight and where should the tightness be on a squat suit? What range of moblity should one have in a squat suit?

Tight around the hips, a little looser over the shoulders, as you start to squat down the straps will tightern.

Teabagger for hire Member 54, 237 posts | You will probably need a bigger suit than a guy of the same weight, due to greater mass in the thighs and glutes. Valerie uses one recommended for a guy around 15kg heavier then her. See if anyone onthe site has an old one from the 75 or 82.5 kg class that you can try. This is the best way to find your size. You are better off starting with your equipment too loose rather than too tight. You can always get tighter stuff when you get used to using it.

With slightly shorter shoulder straps it would probably be a nice suit for easing into squat suit-lifting tho Maybe I should get Phil to send me one too so that I can get a range of them to try on and get a feel for them?
