So you think there is a difference in the number of cals needed to put on weight depending on whether they are 'good' or 'bad' cals?

You know this goes against most known bioligical knowledge regarding calories, energy usage and fat gain dont you?

as olly eludes too, whether you get 4000kcal from burgers or 4000 from chicken and rice, you will put on the same amount of weight if in kcal excess

But the composition of the added weight will probably be different. ie. more fat gain from the burgers.

No you wont, while a kcal is a kcal in terms of its water heating capacity and hence the energy value, they are not all equal when it comes to the body processing them.
If that were the case you could drink jet A fuel and pump up like the hulk.

Any further criticism of burgers will earn you my contempt.

Matt, i feel you are being a little pernickety

Person A and B with the diets stated above for 3 months

body compisition will not be too disimilar at the end between participants

will see if I can find anything on it, study wise

Nah, just saying all kcals are not equal.

It would also depend on what type of somatotype they fall under, how long they have trained for and so on blah blah blah.
Assuming you mean all things equal then 3 months is not long enough to conduct a dietary study for mass gain I wouldn't have thought
