In terms of technique, your knees seem to be coming quite far forward. This is not unexpected, given your comments on narrowing of stance, but one of the consequences is that the angle required at the knee in order to reach depth becomes even more acute. If you could bend your knees as much but without them coming so far forward, your hip crease would easily be low enough. But - easier said than done.

Have a looky at this vid from a few years back. Of particular note, watch the depth that was failed on Ignat Belausov's squat at 3:00 into the film.

I would say that this failed squat is equally as low as that of the poster, hence the need to get a little lower.

I consider myself squat police and pausing that squat at the bottom, drawing a line from knee to hip crease it looked imo parAllel.

Well you off by a bit then, as you can actually see his hip crease.

However given the position it was in at last sighting when he dips at the bottom he would have been about an inch and half below parallel., Again to hard to tell from the angle of the vid to be fair.

However Cricket fire - you squats did not break parallel, as such they were all high.

im in no position to be a depth nazi , i try to go below parallel , honest i do.

i think 'the fire' has a reasonable case , this looks below to me ... obviously its good to make sure, but below parallel is below parallel

Thanks all; appreciate the feedback Happy. I'll post up another vid when I feel like it's getting a bit lower

Hmm, yes, this looks rather better than what I had seen with my head hanging at a right angle. Perhaps CF's next vid could be filmed with him wearing lycra shorts or even a singlet? For judging purposes, of course, rather than my prurient fascination.
