I hope you're going to go lower for our 800lbs challenge!

I'm really tempted to go and do equipped squat on Monday, but Im still feeling really tired and weak so think maybe I'll do some wrapped safety bar stuff to a 14" box. Did 230kg easy last time so think 250kg will be the target.

Not to burst your bubble there Chris but every feds rules state the top of thigh where it joins the hip must be below the highest point of the knee, as such below parallel.

Was just about to say that Matt.

How long do you think it'll take you to get to the 800lbs Chris? Does mine need to be in comp too mate? Tongue

If you can't hit depth in single ply briefs how much weight are you going to need to use to hit depth?

And when you find that amount are you going to be able to stand back up with it?

Squat in a power rack with pins mate to catch the weight if you fail. You will feel much safer.
But I think just training without the gear is the best idea for most of the time! Get Deep!

i think its much safer if you have spotters around you that can catch the weight, if you fail in a squat rack with no spotter the only place you are going in on the floor. and it is the best idea if you dont want to compete in gear but if you do, you have to train in it. get paralell lol!
