As a complete but not entirely uneducated guess Chris James would probably have done some very heavy DOH deads.

is that 600lb bench on his channel for real? that would put him 20kg over british all time raw record. Eek

It could well be - Chris has been lifting mahoosive weights in his shed for over twenty years now, he is just one of those "strongest men most people have never heard of" types.

I seem to recall he competed against Mark Henry in the 1994 WDFPF (?) but I could be mistaken - in any case he rarely competes but is a legitimate monster.

What's a good (blue) Fat Gripz deadlift? Saw Loz just posted a 170kg. How much harder is it than DOH axle?

Interesting. I've never come across an axle. Maybe my 120kg Fat Gripz deadlift isn't too bad then. Might see how heavy I can go on it

A decent bit harder, most I've seen done is 200kg. Really depends on compared to who for what's good. In the strength world I'd say 140kg is a good marker.

The biggest i have seen was kirill with 200kg.
Wildauer could do 180 some years ago.At the same time he was doing his easy 300kg do deadlift.
I think malanichev could be pretty good at that.
He has done a 200kg apollons deadlift before.

Also forgot to mention IIRC he was one of the first people to put an Inch overhead - and I think it was even THE Inch - at an OHF Dinner or some such.

I'd imagine you've got big hands at your height? How are you getting on?

My hands are rather large, i can get my hands round a blue fat gripz with out much bother.
Ive been doing alot of axle holds for time and plate pinches too.
It may be in my head but i swear my hands have made some visible gainz too!
