Jesus I've only just heard about this. I can't help but feel that's sick for some reason. It just feels too soon to me. I don't think I could go through with it if I was Brian Shaw.

Was one of the best around but not anymore. You're just up his arse so you don't like anyone who gives any negative comments. Like I say he was the best in the world but hasn't pulled anything decent in years. good luck to him, it'd be interesting if he could get some form back but I think them days have passed. I actually think many will pull more

Yep I am massively up his arse!!!

I don't even know why I am wasting my time responding to you Rian, your a joke.

I don't know Andy (so I have no reason to be up his arse) but still think he is capable of huge numbers. Will he beat Ed? Possibly not but I think he will definitely pull something huge.

He doesn't strike me as the type of guy who is just turning up for "the craic".

He will hit 440+ imo.

Well i think Andy himself always believes he can still lift the huge weights.
But i just think he is wrong because he is not lifting those 440kg+ weights for years.
Yes speed here speed there speed speed speed 400kg deadlifts. But no huge weights like 440kg+ that those other guys are lifting.
But i still want to see Andy lifting because he can rightfully claim he is one of the best Lifters of all time and has done so many lifts above 400kg.Its a pleasure to see him lift. But i just don't see him lifting anything huge.Hopefully he proves me wrong this year.

last year bolton was good for 420-430 maybe

this year he will take it more serious i think

him and benni not in best shape anymore and not real contenders for record but
still
boltons 457,5 and benni's 460 are more impressive lifts than edd hall 462 record
for me

Honestly i was more impressed by this set than those three lifts combined. To do all those reps before it then make an easy 420kg suggests a lot more is there. It looked like he could have pulled 450kg. No suit, and with no collars on and the guys putting the plates on at different times etc crazy core strength.

I agree Paul. The strength endurance and intensity to do that is f**king mental.

Honestly, nobody should be able to do that. He goes up to 420 f**king kg then back down.

Definitely the most impressive thing I have seen on here.

Andys 457kg deadlift is a record in powerlifting as no straps. Eds 462kg is a srongman deadlift record as straps were used. Both awsome lifts but Andys still the better lift for me as it was done with his bare hands.
