Hey, My name is Stas, I'm 16 years old and live in Israel
After my 1st powerlifting(was on the 17th of April) meet I started doing the Texas Method
My Total at the competition was 435kg
165kg Squat
100kg Bench Press
170kg Deadlift

6th Week of Texas Method
Friday-Volume Day
5X5 Squat 140kg
3X5,2X4 Bench Press 92.5kg (wanted 5X5 but didnt turn out that way...)
Bent Over Rows 5X5

Sunday-Recovery Day
2X5 Squat 110kg
3X5 Press 57.5kg
Chinups Total reps 34

Monday-Intenisty Day (Usually intensity day is on Tuesday but the gym is closing early due to a jewish holiday)
1X3 Squat 170kg
1X3 Bench Press 100kg
1X5 Sumo Deadlift 170kg

Might add a little lower back assistance due to form breaking at the squat at the last sets

Intensity on Wednesday(because it didnt work out on tuesday)
Squat wwraps 180kg 1X2
Failed on third, the wraps pushed me backwards...
Rested 10 min
Squat wwraps 180kg 1X3

Bench Press 102.5kg 1X3
with a narrower grip then I used to

Sumo Deadlift 175kg 1X4
Failed of fifth, I guess due to being tired from the squat
Also looked really ugly

Squat with wraps 190X3
Bench 107.5 X1 (went really slow so decided no to go for the 2nd rep)
Deadlift 165X4

And some assistance work


Asked one of the more experienced powerlifters in the gym
He told me that the reason I fail on the deadlift is because of the knee wraps.
Because I overload my CNS when I squat and when I come to deadlift I'm already burned out.
So he adviced me to do a rotation with the wraps.
on a week without wraps I do heavy deadlift
and on a week with wraps I do a lighter deadlift

long time didn't post.
so far hit 180kg squat with no wraps for 3 reps
and 192kg squat with wraps for 3 reps(wasn't filmed)
bench press is 105kg for 3 reps with the 1st rep paused
deadlift is 180kg for 4 reps.

So I just wanted to wrap up my progress in this round of TM (took 13 weeks)
Squat 165X1 to 180X3(with no wraps)
Bench 90X3 to 105X3
Deadlift 170X1 to 180X4
BW from 90 to 94

Next time I'll update the journal is after the GPA powerlifting meet
If I won't manage to go to the meet then I'll do a tiny mock meet with myself Unhappy
