John said:When I've been thought squats I've been told they should be at least hips down to knee (@ very least) is this correct? If how I've been thought squats is correct then his squats are at least the min requirements from what I could see. Don't think the camera made them look deeper at all, anyway great squatting strong as f%&# :-) :-)

This is generally what is defined as deep enough in most powerlifting federations rule books. Hip crease below top of the knee. However, some federations, for some reason, approve squats that are obviously higher than this - even though their rulebook clearly state how deep you are supposed to go.

Ive never used them so I dont know how much you actually have to train when using high dosages. I guess it will allways be like that. Natural lifters will tell you PEDs do all the work and users will tell you they barely work.

I dont use but I have witnessed guys at my gym who can barley bench 2 plates and deadlift 4 when juiced. I have also seen others besically near double there strength. So depends on the persons attitude to training.

Basically what am trying to say is if you are willing to put in the work then you will reap the benifits.

Do you think those squats were in then? Well in or just in?

Just to say I am not one of those who believe that squats need to be buried to be beneficial and I agree that ascribing his strength solely to PED's is a bit c**tish. But were are looking at the same footage and seeing it differently and I am always interested as to why.

The squat looked just in imo but even if it wasn't I dont see the need for people to criticize all the time! Its only a gym lift as long as he nails it on comp day what's the proplem?

I thought it was parallel. Anyway I couldn't even begin to imagine what that weight feels like on the back. I couldn't squat half of that. Amazing strength!

Squats looked 'good' too me. At least just good enough from the that angle and too close to call from where we are sat.

As for his training well it works for him and that's all that matters.

Would need a refs eye view to say with any certainty whether depth or not, from what I could see I'd say no, just!
Either way if I was there he' d get a pat on the back, awesome show of strength.

Is it just me but when I squat to my max or very near breathing is real hard that goes for front and back squats is this normal or maybe I need to tweak the bar posistion. Cheers
