Not really sure how to train for strongman but here's today's pressing session at ironworks Brum. Incline bench press. : 60kg x 15 reps 100kg x 10 reps 140kg x 8 reps 160kg x 5 reps 180kg x 2 reps 200kg x 1 rep , only lowered bar to three inches above chest due to pain in right bicep. Viking press.( plate weight ) : 20kg x 12 reps 40kg x 10 reps 80kg x 8 reps 120kg x 5 reps 140kg x 2 reps 140kg x 1rep 140kg x 1rep rested 30 secs between each 140kg lift . Hammer strength shoulder press ( plate weight ) 40kg x 15reps 80kg x 10reps 120kg x 8reps 160 kg x 5 reps Hammer strength incline press ( plate weight ) 80kg x 8 reps 120kg x 5 reps 160kg x 5 reps Finished off with couple of sets of tricep extensions | ||

Member 5169, 12 posts SQ 220, BP 200, DL 260680.0 kgs @ 127kgs UnEq | Deadlift not a great session felt weak and backs still not feeling good pulled it three weeks ago . 30 kg Olympic bar thicker than what I'm used to. 70kg x 10 reps 120kg x 8 reps 160kg x 6 reps 200kg x 5 reps 240kg x 3 reps 250kg x 1 reps Weight felt easy but Left hand side of lower back really starting to hurt so left it at that Hammer strength deadlift machine ( mid shin height ) 120 kg x 1 160 kg x 1 200 kg x 1 240 kg x 1 280 kg x 1 ( no chalk so straps ) 300 kg x 1 (straps ) 320 kg x 1(straps ) 320 kg held for 30secs x 4 Back assistance work nothing really heavy Chin ups x 5 reps ( I'm 21 stone ) Lat pull downs Rows Shrugs | ||
