I lived just round the corner from the tube station, on Cephas Ave. I did prefer living in Whitechapel to Stepney to be honest though. Even though the place I lived in Whitechapel was a s**thole, I was 2 mins from Brick Lane and all that.

It's a bit further out (North-west, Wembly direction) from the areas you're talking about, but Genesis in Alperton has to be the best powerlifting gym in west london and one of the best if not the best in London.
