The UK strongman-north will be holding OPEN & NOVICE QUALIFIERS there will be a £15 entrance fee this will be donated to a nominated charity ALL ENTRANCE MUST BE OVER THE AGE 18 Novice competition is open to any one that has not been placed 1st 2nd 3rd in any other novice comp Dates Sunday15th June at Moss Farm Recreational Centerer Northwich Cheshire the open and novice will be held on the same day Date Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th July at Verdin Park Northwich in conjunction with Norhtwich Carnival weekend Open on the Saturday 5th July Novices on Sunday 6th July Date Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd August at Wales strongman in conjunction with Conwy County Borough Council at Colwyn Leisure Center EIRIAS park Clowyn bay this is all so there Carnival weekend Novice on Saturday 2nd August OPEN on Sunday 3rd August Other dates may bee confined as they are i will post them The final will be over the Sunday 24th & Monday 25th of August this is the bank Holiday weekend NOVICE on Sunday 24th August OPEN on Monday 25th August Bank Holiday Events for north west heats NOVICE WEIGHTS Log press 85KG Crucifix hold 12KG EACH HAND Farmers Walk 90KG EACH HAND Hand-over-Hand vehicle pull 2 TONNE van lift on frame T.B.C carry & drag 200KG OPEN WEIGHTS Log press 120kg Crucifix hold 20kg each hand Farmers Walk 130kg each hand Hand-over-hand T.B.C Vehicle Lift T.B.C Carry & drag 300kg WALES Events NOVICE Log press 85KG Crucifix hold 12kg each hand Farmers walk 90kg each hand Vehicle lift T.B.C Carry & drag 200kg Atlas stones 100KG-140KG OPEN Events Log press 120kg Crucifix hold 20kg each hand Vehicle lift T.B.C Farmers walk 130kg each hand Carry & drag 300kg Atlas stones 120kg-160kg Application forms will be on line at www.ukstrongman-north.co.uk from 30/4/08 if you want moor info you can call 07974157280 | ||

But now when seeing the weights i am getting cold feet  Nah f**k it, will do one of the Opens qualifiers! Milsy, what do you mean, there are two options for the qualifiers, june or july date? | ||

I think the important thing is friction i.e. Mark's chain (with the anchor attatched) is very long, and we were dragging it through mud. Can't see there being much harder drags in any comps than that so wouldn't worry too much about it. | ||
