A lower back injury, not serious but enough to affect my deadlift and squat from being at their best!

Hi - I just put them online last night, but didn't get chance to put links on all forums. Here they are:

http://www.scottishpowerlifting.com/results/scottishunequipped...

Given this gets auto-sized down, to see it in its original size just right click on the results and select View Image or similar.

Another good comp, a good crowd in, some close battles in 74kg and 83kg classes, plenty of new lifters, and lots of new scottish records (will be updated soon). Stephen O'Donnell was best lifter in his first comp in nearly a year, and Louise Murray won the womens with an impressive 352 wilks. Well done to all that took part, and big thanks to the officials and hard working loaders.

Now the write up:

Another good comp, with a good crowd in, plenty of new lifters and lots of new Scottish records (will be updated soon). In the womens classes Louise Murray won best lifter with an impressive 352 wilks, and novice Michelle Brand got all nine lifts passed with much more there for her next competition. In the mens classes, Craig Barnes at 66kg nearly bombed on the squat, but then did some solid benching and deadlifting. In the 74kg class Andy Clegg had a 20kg lead at the subtotal, but a big 217.5kg deadlift from Gary McConachie proved too much and Gary won by 7.5kg. Raymond Peacock lifted well in his first comp - more to come I am sure. Just two big hitters in the 83kg class with Allen Steel missing due to a bout of food poisoning. Bryan Riddell impressed on the squat, just missing 210kg. Mick Marner regained the advantage with an new record benchpress - 151kg. Just 1.5kg separated them at the sub-total. A big gap opened after the first deadlift meant Mick was well in front, but a big jump from Bryan on his second attempt closed the gap. It went right down to the last round, with Bryan's third attempt to win failed on a technicality.

Two novices in the 93kg class, Robert McKenzie and Samuel Birnie, both put in solid performances, with Robert winning out. Four lifters started in the 105kg class, but Stuart Stables had his first bombing out, mostly due to him just being back from a long holiday. That left three. Stephen O'Donnell, back in his first comp in nearly a year, won with some good squatting and benching and a great deadlift. Martin Jancsics was not that far behind, impressive for his first competition. Johnny Gallagher keeps improving and took third place. The best lifter went to Stephen O'Donnell but by the narrowest of margins - 0.7 wilks points over Mick Marner. Well done to all that took part, and a big thank you to the officials and very hard working loaders.
