I spread the work across 4 sessions. I separated out the hardest work of the week. For instance one session would be the hardest bench then deads followed by 2*6 squat. During the intensity phase as went with the flow with the deads. I'd work up to the working weight and reps for the session, but would do what volume was there.

into the third week of this - its safe to say the knees are not feeling good - any tips for keeping them healthy?

If you're running a 3x per week programme then shift to the 2x per week with a slightly lower max.

I just started the 2x a week masters version, doing it for squat and bench but doing SLDL's instead of regular deads as i find them easier to recover from.

I did it before Christmas as my training hadn't been particularly focussed and I had been struggling to lift what I had been able to easily about 6 months before. The programme gave me a focus and something to stick to

I "guesstimated" my maxes going into it and was perhaps a little conservative but when I'd done, my maxes in all lifts were all slightly higher than my best ever.

I made sure I slept a lot, got enough to eat and did the limber 11 daily

Now on my forth week on this did the 5x5 last night and feel pretty good. A little bit apprehensive of the 2x2 week with what I enetered as my current max.

Wondered how everyone else was getting on
