Was a farily strong field, with Mark Lawson winning and winning well. I finished 7th of 7, so not a great day for me today, bit of a reality check really. Had 3 decent events and 3 dismal events, with much work still needed. Was nice to see Tony & family again. Thanks for the support mate! 1st - Overhead medley - 90kg axle, 100kg log, 110kg axle, 120kg log 90 axle and 100 log went up easy enough, no probs there. Could not continental clean the 110 axle, with was very dissapointing, considering I had done it no problem in training during the week. Was more disapointing as I knew the press would have been realatively easy. Couple of others only got 2, but I was the slowest in 14secs, last place!!! 2nd - Arm over arm - 7 tonne van - Changed to truck Pull Absolutely dreadful performance. Was on a very slight incline, and only manage 2-3m. Embaressing really!! 3rd- car deadlift for reps(approx 280kg in hands) Got 10 reps on this, which was happy with, which was 5th out of 7. Lawson one it with a massive 23 reps!!! 4th - medley - all for 15m - 280kg yoke, 300kg tyre, 250kg duck walk Good performance on this to again finish 5th, with half of thr barrell run done before time lapsed. Yoke was easy and fast, tyre was good but gassed me, with the barrell being hard due to fatigue. Decent performance though 5th - farmers for distance - 110kg - one drop and out Got 51m with this to finish 3rd. There was far more in me, but you can see from the video, that once the guy I was racing with dropped, my desire wained and completed another few ms. I think 60+ metres was there, but that still wouldn't have took 2nd!! 6th - stones - 110 - 155kg, to either oil drums, or onto a flatbed Flatbed was approx 5ft, so knew I was buggered from the start LOL. 110 went up easy enough, but 120 was a real struggle, with my 2nde attempt closest, just couldn't get body under!! Stones needs lots of work!! Was a good comp, showing me Im not as far on as I thought I was. Cant wait for BSM now to remedy this performance and show myself, that am a lot better than performance indicated.
