after my Rack DL lock outs last night my back is in bits today but in a good way if you know what i mean.

i have another full body work out da night so was thinking of doing hip thrusters and SLDL with the bar and light light weight. would this be a good idea for getting the recovery in the area flowing?

Same here.

Ive been having similar probs lately, really bad pumps etc. Went to a physio and have started stretching my hams/lower back everyday, its working well. The physio said my hams were far too tight, it was causing and was going to cause major problems in the future. Dont neglect the stretches.. I have for far too long.

I've been thinking of going to see a physio myself just lately to see if I can get my problem diagnosed a little better. It's nice to know what I seem to have is a common problem. It's been holding me back with my deadlift for months now(well until the last few weeks) but I've decided to just go for it and if my back snaps then it snaps !! Grin

The reason I went as daft as it sounds not because it was affecting my training, because doing this you kind of get used to niggles, I work a door at weekends and was seriously struggling to stand for more than 10 mins before my back and hams were seriously pumped.. I had one session of deep tissue massage and by the friday, it was the best i had felt for months. Defintaly worth going.

lucky bugger I only get one of them on my birthday. im used to the back pain something you have to just cope with. i have been told its just a sign that im working my back . if I have been training heavy i cant even get in and out of bed. I just keep a smile on my face and think it will all be worth it when i win.

Soreness from lifting? Yeah get used to it, but pain? No, that's not something that you should just 'cope with'. If you are getting a lot of pain then something is wrong, and you cant sustain lifting with something wrong for a long period of time, nor should you want to IMO.
