i used to be into bodweight training and recently have started doing burpees again , which are incredibly brutal.

I am not sure I have the strength to perform a handstand pushup

also, i was a big fan of the headstand , once i could do 2 minutes + ....witness the fitness !!!

Wayne, you look great mate

isometrics...

ballistic and quasi

for example, trying to push the door frame away overhead is a ballistic isometric exrecise i one i recoment

you can also hold stress possitions eg half way chin-up- quasi isometric...

should build power but not mass.

Yep you're looking svelte Wayne. Looks like you're loving the paralettes.

Burpees make me dizzy, always fun in WODs HIIT sets.

Turkish get ups are good. The amount & type of weight held is not really important. It’s moving your bodyweight with an odd shaped object overhead is the challenge.

Thanks Happy

They appeared at the gym a couple of weeks ago. I thought I'd make use of them.

+7.5kg is quite difficult. Not sure if I could do +10kg at the moment. I prefer the weight behind me, but the plates bash into the wall while getting into position.

FML. My post is getting cut, and it won't let me extend it.
I did write a full plyometric training plan... but long story short, plyometrics are my go to if I have no weights.

That's a shame. Appreciate you popping in to post though Aaron Happy

My aim these days is just to be "in shape" - lean, healthy and quite strong. I'm a middle aged man now! My strongman days are well in the past now, and I'm no longer obsessed with those higher levels of brute strength. I really want to take care of my spine. I actually feel that it sustained some minor permanent damage from doing lots of silly s**t like walking with 340kg on top of it!
