08/12/12 raw deadlift, unsupported oh seated log, incline log, rope tri pushdowns

this was the only time ive trained this week because my back is f**ked from the comp last sunday so was more of a get back ino it sesh than a pb maker.

my deadlifts need work and im training with paul hamo fulltime now as wer both buildin up to same comp nex year.
these are all my lifts

Deadlifts
100kg x 10
100kg x 10
wide grip deads onto tip toes when upright 3 x 100kg 5reps

DOH 140kg x 5 x 2sets

180kg x 3
220kg x 1 back felt awful so stopped deadliftin.

unsupported seates oh log press
85kg x 5 x 6 sets

incline log
85kg x 10 x 3 sets
110kg x 5 reps

rope tri pushdown
5 sets pyramid up then down.

changin my whole routene around and moving to a different gym as im the only guy who trains for strogman at my current gym so hopefully i can progress training with bigger stronger more experieced guys than on my todd Happy

wide neutral grip lat pulldown
No 15 x 5 reps x 2 sets
no 17 x 3 reps x 2 sets

Technique work on powercleans

Looks like you did VERY well at the comp, and are still improving with other lifts too. 20kg PB and could've doubled it = awesome gains. Where did you finish in the end in the comp?

We have added the seated unsupported log press in as we both want to build our static power up and from my experience thers no better strict press oh than bein sat on a bench and pressin the log from chest height the balance is very hard and its raw shoulder power. my shoulders have never ached so bad or felt as worked so i would advixe you try it if possible Happy

unsupported overhead seated strict log press in power rack
85kg x 1
95kg x 1
105kg x 1
85kg x 5
85kg x 2 few breaths then 2more x 2 sets
5 x singles workin on speed and holding the lockout for 5secs which was very hard havin no stable platform.

Incline log press
85kg x 10
90kg x 8
105kg x 5
105kg x 5

smith machine shoulder press (glose grip)
Slow negatives then exploding up to lockout
60kg x 10 x 3 sets

seated tricep pushdown machine
No 17 x 15reps
stack x 15reps x 3 sets

felt very happy with this session my OH power is on the up so cant wait to try a 1rm log in the next few weeks . i will get a video of the seated log next time to give anyone thats not quite sure how im doing it a full demo.

Which comp mate? if your on about strength-tec few weeks ago i came 2nd and thanx mate i need more gains as im going into 105's next year and im nower near ready Happy

happy with the session never done jumping squats but in lookin to buil more explosive power and a powerlifter recommended these and i loved them.

18/12/12 leg press bent over rows 20inch rack pulls

had to train at my old gym because i forgot to pack my kit which was annoying.

Bent over rows

60kg x 10

rack pulls 20inch this wasnt an aimed specific heigh its just all i had to work with Happy

leg press i wasnt sure how these were going to go as my left quad is playing up and and trained squats the day before all be it not heavy.

left it there as id spent a good half hour catchin up with a few guys was happy with the session especially the leg press theres was alot more weight left in the tank but sadly that was the leg press flushed and i had noone to spot me at that point.

this was my first session back from the festive break i did deadlifts with log press on saturday which wasnt the best idea bt new routine has started so i had to do them.

60kg x 5

flat bench

60kg x 5

125kg x 2 all done with a minimal 1sec pause on all sets.

Seated shoulder press
i had the safety bars set lower so i had to work the weight onto my chest and press to get the most out of the exercise i like using the power rack as the bar is freely movable unlike a normal smith

50kg x 5
60kg x 5
80kg x 5
85kg x 5
90kg x 4

incline press (same machine) did the same set the bars lower so i had to work the bar into a pressin position which made the exersise harder and more beneficial.

front raises
