What's 'wank' about that?

I think this is possibly the best point. He would train like that, doesn't mean it is suitable for other people. I wouldn't train like that personally but it obviously worked for him if he got a 300kg bench doing that routine. It probably took him a lot of years to be able to train with so much volume, I have recently increased my volume in training and it takes me a couple of weeks to get used to it once I do though I can then add in some more stuff and cope okay. Your body does adapt to the way you train

some nice relaxing jazz. Member 77, 12599 posts SQ 265, BP 165, DL 280710.0 kgs @ 93kgs UnEq | I have heard it said a few times that many PL etc from Kaz's era did much work that was closer to BB than most PL would do presently?

I've done it and it works. For over a year, I squatted twice a week, pulled twice a week and, wait for it, benched FOUR times a week. However, that's all I did. There was more or less no assistance work. All I did was squat, bench and dead.

a dork Member 1023, 846 posts | If you really are going to do this routine start light, like...very light! I would say 40% of your maxes or less. Get used to the volume first, teach your body that this much moving around and lifting is ok and normal and you should be able to slightly increase the weight as you go along. I love lots of volume. I am at my strongest when the volume in my training is high. Lately due to work and other stuff my volume has been quite low and I can feel it when it comes to my maxes. Like I said, give it a go, start light, and see where it takes you. People are fully right though in that this is Kaz's routine and worked well for him, but it can be adapted to work for you as well. Have fun!

What's 'wank' about that? there is no proof this is genuinely what he did n it certainly is only manageably by an elite athlete. kaz was awsome no doubt but i doubt he did that routine and i doubt even more it would work for most people
