What diameter axle bars are used in most Strongman competitions 2" or 3"? Thank you.

Which axle diameter do they use in WSM?

The ones I've used have been ~50mm diameter

Ok thanks mate, considering purchasing an axle. Seems like 2" is the most used from what I gather so far.

50mm are by far the most common.

But if you are buying for yourself id suggest getting a 60mm one. Training on the hardest possible bar means you avoid any unpleasant surprises come comp day.

Also, if you want a 50mm axle bar, just get an 8ft length of scaffold.

Thank you for the good advice, I will follow it.

In the first post I mistakenly mentioned 3" although I meant the 2.3"/60mm as you correctly made clear.
