Yep humble pie. 200kg is a 20kg pr from his last max log according to strongman archive. I guess he was keeping the big lifts in the gym until needed.
I'm glad JP made it out from under the log without injury.
Novi's knee messed up now for the frame. Luke could overtake him for licis rob Luke podium.

Luke 3rd maybe? Joint 3rd with Bobby, but if they use count back then the log win should give it to Luke.

That was an awesome comp.
shame about Luke’s squat. Could’ve been good for another 5 points or so with a 10 pound lighter 3rd lift.
Hope Tom doesn’t let this get to him.

I was surprised how quickly he gave up on the stone. No eye forwards to lifting it in next year's competition. Great stream, but i wish we'd gotten a bit of Magnus Vs questions after the lifts instead of Kiki.

If you didn't lap it within 30 seconds you were disqualified that's why he stopped I think

Ah that makes sense. Thanks.

Matt Rhodes spórt saying JF in a bad way. Left knee and ankle broken. Tears in both knees. (Turns out this is fake news)

Watching it live was awful. You could hear a loud and sharp crack as the log landed on his bent knees. I hope I’m wrong but this could be the end of his strongman career.

World's Strongest Fan says that there was successful
"Update from Dr Jan Todd!
J-f Caron has a smile on his face on his way back from surgery yesterday here in Columbus. Although both quadriceps tendons completely broke in the accident, surgeons here in Columbus were able to reattach both and the prognosis is good for a full recovery. The other great news is that his left ankle is not broken. He thanks all his fans for their notes of concern."

Yeah it was the most horrific accident I've ever seen in strongman. Seemed like such a lovely chap talking to him at the SBD meal the night before too an 100% the biggest most muscular I'd ever seen him so really hope he can come back.

The worst thing was it could have been avoided, literally my first thought when I sat down was wow those pads are low. Not sure what the thinking was with that as its not supposed to be a deadlift test an was just no way out for him when he started to fall. The pads should be there to catch the log in exactly those kind of circumstances.

That's great news he hasn't breaks too. It seems an odd injury for log press to cause.

This is what I was thinking. The quads seemed to both tear as he dipped for the push overhead, could this be as a result of the below-parallel squat beforehand or what. I’m not sure it was a result of the log landing on his knees.
