Been through a pretty miserable time. 2015 was a difficult year due to my kids being taken away by my ex-wife in November 2014. Spent most of 2015 fighting in court, going through various stages of emotional crap and countless meetings, court appearances and handling all of the legal guff myself. Also moved house 3 times and lost my job twice. What a crap year... but I did get married so ended well enough and I managed to get an Access order to see my kids in Jan '16.

Hopefully getting back to my normal self. Moved closer to the gym for a start so a time for some new hopes in an effort to get my emotional state into good order and my physical state up to scratch to compete at national strongman level.

Current lifts:

Squat: 260kg
Deadlift: 300kg
Push Press: 150kg
Log: 135kg
Axle C&P: 130kg

This is where I stand today, natty and feeling crap for it.

Goals for 2016:

Squat 250kg x 5
Deadlift: 340kg
Push Press: 170kg
Log: 165kg
Axle C&P: 150kg

I'll be jumping back on something when my wife falls pregnant but for the time being I'll push on with decent food intake and plenty of rest.

I'll be focusing on heavier squats, speed deadlifts, powercleans, front squats and variations of push pressing to bring up my max deadlift. The rest of my training will be pull ups, dips, tricep work and incline benching. Farmers and yoke work in the speedier range of 100-130kg and 240kg - 300kg respectively bringing up my times until I am moving sub 10 seconds for 20 or so metres. Then I'll revise. Stone work to be done on Sundays when I get my sleeves made up but I'll be looking to do this every 2 weeks.

I'll be working on rep PBs too over the course of 2016... it's not all about the 1RM so the majority of my work will be in the 70-85% range with 5x5 as my base.

Good luck mate. They are some big numbers you're chasing.
