thanks. yep unfortunately, didnt hurt my back but i cud feel something wasnt right even on the warm ups so wont risk it on work sets. not even sure wether to bother with log or not yet. it was 1 reason i stopped doing it

about as hard as strict log other day. 100 was harder than the strict 95 so id say theres not really much between them in difficulty x weight.

apparently doing dips on kitchen work top is making the wood bend so need another substitute for them that doesnt hurt my elbows.


nice session. can tell iv not done circuits or DB's in a while as the higher reps were quite hard to reach. felt good to get some volume in tho.

haha no, just wanted to get an idea for a training max. doesnt count seen as u dont seated press. think ur the boss at minute matey especially with your benching.

programmed my deads at a lower training max % than my other lifts cos a) iv changed my set up a bit, b) want to get used to the volume of new routine, c) ensures i keep better form. before when i was training near my daily limit for reps my back was always hit n miss so lets see if this solves it.

moved grip out a touch so arms are by my side rather than in front of me, also trying to get more weight onto my heel instead of mid foot.

strange tbh, felt lighter but also felt slower. form felt like it was perfect tho n think this new set up will be safer for my back. hopefully it will get faster with practice.

was seeing stars mid way thru 175's so altho the SLDL weights felt ok i felt awful. best described as a combo of headache, brain-freeze and about to pass out.


Pull Ups x 10, 9

even these were an effort. f**ked it off felt to ill. missed 2 sets of pull ups n the circuits.

125 felt really comfy. hoping for a decent 135 in couple weeks which is only 5kg off my paused bench before the pec injury, change of grip and 5kg cut in BW. if i get it il be very happy to be only 5kg down

thought 40s was hard so lowered to 35 n realised i was just fatigued as i had decent rests n still dropped off on reps each set.

not benched in 10 days so thought it might feel off but felt pretty comfy n new grip is feeling more 'normal' now. hopefully overtake paul soon Wink

It just seems strange seeing you mention me after a bench session. I shall lap it up while it lasts. I'm planning on staying away from anything near a max for 3 months and then seeing where I'm at. 140 paused bench would be nice Wink

thanks. i know i dont like it Tongue thought ud be rubbing it in more tbh lol.

iv been told mid feb is likely for my op now but still nothing set in stone so got a good few weeks of training which i can now kind of plan out. hoping to hit 135-137.5 paused by then, 140 would be nice tho

supposed to do 100 x 1, 90x3x4 but felt strong so did bit more.
routine is low %'s for reps to make sure their all smooth n i dont get injured but feel i can push it closer to my limit more often on overhead work so will prob do that. the 95s wasnt easy but wasnt grinders either so a good decision i think.

slight increase on 5's from last week, thought i got 7 on last set last time so kept same weight but it was the week before, i got both 8s last week. oops.

bit better but longer rests i think. last set still a fight for 12th so same weight til all sets are smoother
