Stop drug testing people in a drug tested fed.

Finch said:Mr Crossbow, to try an answer your questions.

Just wondering what would happen to a lifter if they failed a drugs test at an international IPF event. Would they;

- Cause GBPF to pay a fine? - YES.
- Have to pay a fine themselves? - YES, the GBPF will persue a claim against the individual that signed to say they were clean in order to recover these costs.

Thanks. Who is to blame for such a person entering an international event without being tested on home soil first?

In a perfect world, they would lift in the un-tested fed.

Remember kids.

There is nothing wrong with raising an issue. I have been hypothetical in all my posts. It is only others who have 'assumed' who may be pointing fingers.

Not a strange response at all. Most people use their first post to introduce themselves and give a little bit of background about their interest in strength sports. You jump in with a massive hypothetical question. Seems strange to me...

I'm an avid reader of the forum, that's all. Just like to raise the important issues for discussion. In my opinion if a lifer fails a test, there should be accountability both on the individuals and management side.

The GBPF have as much responsibility to 'catch' these individuals as we have to ensure that we are 'clean'.

what event did this guy fail a test at ?

Now now Boar. Who said anything about a guy failing a test? We were being 'hypothetical' Tongue

phil said:well hypothetical speaking the person would be required to pay the fine, I would have thought the GBPF would pay it and then the person would pay the GBPF. However until this happens they we don't know
Why you ask ?

Thanks for the hypothetical answers to the first two hypothetical questions.

What about the other questions, Phil? Who would be to blame for letting this happen at an international, rather than domestic event?

Almost. Similarly, what a strange response, do you know anything?

Just wondering what would happen to a lifter if they failed a drugs test at an international IPF event. Would they;

- Cause GBPF to pay a fine?
- Have to pay a fine themselves?

Also who would be accountable for sending a lifter to an international event without being tested on home turf first? Would the team management be to blame?

I do believe that after a number of lifters found to fail a drugs test, then the whole country is banned after a number of 'black marks' are found? Discuss.
