Light week day 3 A very funny one here, i was warming up doing deep and wide stance squats and ripped my shorts!!! had to go put works trousers on ha ha ha. Must say though on sets i did, i took a closer stance to make sure i didn't rip my trousers, and i felt a lot stronger and my squat technique was the best i've done so far!!! Back Squat 80x8/90x8/11x8 DB Step Up 16kg did 3 sets of 12 reps each leg, (good cardio substitute i find!) Leg Extension 45x10/65x10/85x9/105x7 Smith Machine Calf Raises ( standing on end of bench for more R.O.M) 60x12/60x12/80x12 Calfs on fire!!!!! Barbell Grip 40=Right 42secs,Left 35sec/70=R17,L14/80=R28,L2.5 Leg Curl 75x10/85x10/95x8 Superset Side Bend 32x10/32x12/32x12 Good Session in all, and back to wearing my 3 quaters for training in ha ha | |||

It's a bit lighter than novice, well run and a well organised comp. This will then give you a good intro into strongman. I did it this year and have caught the strongman " bug". Todays session was good. Bench 80kgx8,80kgx8,100kgx5, was hoping for 8 on last set but just didn't have the strenght!! DB Fly 14kgx8,16kgx8,18kgx8 Strict Overhead Press 40kgx8,50kgx8,55kgx5, It was as if my shoulders had gone to showers after 5th rep, and didn't want to push press it. Delt Raises, 9kgx8,12kgx8,12kgx8, Dip on assisted machine, 19kgx12,12kgx10,bodyweightx5, went for 6 but it was a negative rep ha ha! Standing Cable Tricep Push, 30lb each pegx8, 37.5lb E.Px8,47.5lb E.PX8, First time i've done these, really enjoyed em!! To end session i did Bent Over Raises 12kgx8,14kgx8,16kgx8 superset with hanging knee raises for 3x12 All in all a good session, was very dissapointed on last rep with bench and overhead press, but thats part of the fun i think!!!!! Bring on back tomorrow, can't wait!! ![]() ![]() | |||

Well tomorrow is the start of light week day 1!!! Think for shoulders it will be strict barbell press, and triceps push will be from the cable crossover, immatating a close grip bench action, can't wait!!!![]() | |||

Looking awesome matey, I'm too just starting out in the strongman game. Started trainging 6 weeks ago in local gym. My goal is to enter uk north novice 2011,I'll be happy with anything that year, a few PB's would be nice, but got a long way to go!!!! Good luck ![]() ![]() |
