I try to press the DB straight up rather than together at the top as it keeps the tension on the delts throughout the movement and causes less impingement.

make sure that the dumbells touch your shoulders and not as in the case of many a yank youtube video the ears lol.

One thing that me and Adam did to good effect was to keep the back rest nice and high and press straight up, a lot of guys seem to press slightly forward. It took some time to get used to but seemed to really help my shoulder strength and also my shoulder flexibility. Worked wonders for my bench.
