Mark joined me this morning for our first bench session of the year.

He also bought me a empty larger keg, which I had a bit of a disaster with. Needless to say I covered myself and the garage in larger spray. Certainly lightened the mood.

Bench paused singles

80x2... 90x1... 100x1.... 110x1.... 115x1... 120x1 tech fail, didn't get the set up right. 120x1...

5x3 @ 100 kg.. Last set paused.

Pendley rows

4x8 @ 60kg

Log press from floor

5x3 @ 70kg.... We're both still getting to grips with the technique for this. But we both have loads of power in reserve.

Great to see red light Pete today, believe he had some good news medically.
Tonight also saw the return of Ian the machine, fighting fit and ready to squat.

Squats with Ian

1x5 @ 70kg... 1x5 @ 100kg.... 1x5 @ 120kg.... 135 x 3.... 145 x 2..... 155 x 2...... 165 x 2...... 175 x 2..... 165 x 2 .... 145 x 5....

Pause squats 3 second pause

2 x 3 @ 100kg

Max shoulder press ( not strict)

50 kg x 5..... 60kg x 3.... 70kg x 2.... 80kg x 2 ..,,, 90kg x 1 .... 100kg x 1 .....

DB shrugs

3 x 15 @ 42.5 kg

immense overhead press though, definitely getting much stronger there.

To be fair the last sets 145x5 so I assumed you meant the top set of 175 was wrong. Its late at night be fair Unhappy good to see your back on top form Ian

Bench

60x5... 80x5... Double pause reps @ 100kg and 110kg... Single pause at 110kg and two single pauses at 120kg...

Snatch grip deadlifts,off of a 4 inch block..

2x15 @ 140kg

Very busy night at the farm. Enjoyable deadlift session with Ian.. Two new members both seemed nice.

Shoulder press

6 @ 62.5, 6 @ 62.5, realised my form was shocking so dropped weight down 2x6 @ 50kg

Bent over rows

4 x 15 @ 50 kg
