I say compete, I should have said, 'turned up at'...Still, it was a great experience and I met a lot of great people. I'm starting back to training today for the UK Open Cup at the beginning of September. Immediate goals are to get my right pec and shoulder healed up and get my weight up to 115kg. | ||

Bodypower was just a bit overwhelming and it was just 4 weeks after doing the Qualifier in Folkstone. I never really got going again training wise. Good experience though. | ||

Lost weight and lost strength so havent logged anything. Was also away in France for a fortnight amongst it all. CBL has been binned. Time to get my weight back on and put in some hard work over the next 8-9 weeks in the run up to the UK Open Cup.Summary of last week... Monday 25th June - Deadlift 230kg+50kg chains x2 (x5 sets) *took me so long to complete this. Just had nothing. Wednesday 27th June - Shirted Bench Barx30 70kgx10 100kgx5 140x3 sling shot 170x1 shirt 200x3 - 3b 220x2 - 2b 235x2 - full 240x2 - full *2nd rep of last set hit underside of hooks on the way up and inner side of left pec also popped and swole up (again) Friday 29th - Squat Barxsome 70x10 120x3 briefs 180x3 230x3 230+60kg chain x2 260+60kgs chain x0 *I injured the LHS of my lower back when I slipped off a garden path whilst helping to carry a double bed on Thursday night. Unracking this weight was really causing serious pressure to where it hurt. So I stopped......for a few minutes until stupidity triumphed and I took another few sets.. 260kgx2 270kgx2 *not sure if the chains were causing enough instability to aggrevate the pain but the straight weight seemed much easier to handle and less painful through the unrack. In fact the worst part was getting out from under the bar when my lower back decompressed. It was vey like a sciatic pain though didnt quite go down my whole leg None of these injuries are serious. Just annoying ones that are stopping me pushing as hard as I would like to. | ||

Def a compression pain as deadlifting does not hurt it at all. Unracking and releasing after re-rack are brutal. These should be very manageable weights..... | ||
