Osg in manchester is well equipped for powerlifting. Not one of the places you mentioned but still north west...
There's a powerlifting session every Sunday at Intershape gym in Colne at 1pm which you are welcome to. There's the Adlington barbell club which welcome new lifters which is just below Chorley, where are you training at the moment?

thanks for the replies, I am training at a bodybuilding gym in accrington at the moment but i am no bodybuilder! Long term i would like to get into a more Powerlifting focused gym - In terms of strength training i am only really just starting out - to give you an idea my latest lifts are ; Squat around 120Kg, Deadlift 135Kg and Bench 105Kg so well below what is classed as strong.
Perform Centre is only a couple of miles away from me and it looks very well equiped, i will drop them an email.

It's £5 per session and a really good gym. It's open till 9.00 on weekdays. You can pay monthly if you want but I'm not sure how much as I only go once per week.

thanks for the info, i have dropped them an email. I got the impression from the website that its more professional/elite athlete focused - it looks like a decent set up from the website pictures though
