Mariusz has done some boxing in the past but I don't know how much.
He does seem to have that glint in his eye of a bloke who is quite prepared to take someone's head off and he has the determination to win, which can't be trained, it's either there or it's not.
As for size, it's not always an issue, look at Ian Freeman, not a big bloke at all but he went right through a lot of big lads with no trouble and pummelled them into the mat.
People are saying that on the floor Mariusz strength could be an advantage, but a lot of the heavyweight MMA fighters are strong lads too so he won't have it all his own way.

I don't think he will be a muppet by a long shot but I suspect an experienced MMA fighter would show him the road home, for the time being at least.

I'm sure he will win this first fight, I bet that's already been decided to "launch his career" and all that.
Should be good to watch his future fights though.

I've seen his padwork and it is very very sloppy, but I can't imagine that being hit by that kind of weight and power would be any fun at all. If he can keep his chin covered and keep throwing bombs for longer than a couple of minutes, he may be the next Bob Sapp.

Pudz once stated he gave up boxing as he didn't like getting hit.

Know nothing of the guy he's fighting but against average opposition I believe he'd get knocked the f**k out.

Just cause he's a big lump doesn't mean he'll be a big puncher.

He made short work of his opponent utilising leg kicks and ground 'n' pound. Well done Mariusz. Next Bob Sapp?

I think his aggression and power will carry him until he fights a decent fighter. He does seem to have pretty good fight awareness though. Also, people know how strong he is. They will not want to get on the ground with him. So him using low kicks will e common. They trained Sapp the same way.

Fair play to him for doing it, the unguarded chasing will get him ktfo against a counter puncher mind.

Good candidate for rope a dope by the look if it too

Why did they stop that - no knock out; no blood the f**king police wouldn't have split that up on a Friday night for f**k sake. f**king fix - all he had to do was run round the ring for two minutes wait till he was f**ked kick him in the nuts job done. But what do I know eh ?

just watched the fight, his technique was terribleHappy but he won the fight, so, well done, he certainly used his size, i expected better technique on the punches and kicks as he has supposed to have done some kyokushinkai karate in the past.

i did expect his explosive power and endurance to be really good, its a shame the fight didnt last longer, but you dont want them lasting too long, teh strategy, to go all out from teh start was def the right thing to do with his size and power, cause who could really match him in explosive power and wiht his size and strenght even a glancing blow would have an effect on an opponent, if he polish's his skill and technique he could go far. Id like to see how thing s would go if he egot another 5-6 matches under his belt got the ring craft sharp and then had a crack at a good UFC guy, would certainly sell tickets and he'd get a good pay cheque.

n.b/ I was a pro Thai boxer for 9 years, out of the 25 I have been doing it,still teaching now I had many MMA matches too, just to back up my comment on his technique.

Like the unintentional pun there mate! After all he is a Pol.

I hadn't heard that about his background. Though Im sure you agree, that didn't look much like Kyokushin to me!

Even so, he is like a bull and I think the other fighter lost through fear. He immediately backed off when Pudz advanced and didn't slow. Much like the way many scraps are won in real life it seems.

It would take some weight, talent and guts to stop him though I reckon.
