Hey Joni, nice fighting on the 100kg! Few weeks ago you asked me how i did log clean caus i did a 132 log clean.... You told me yours was s**tty.... I can see in the vid why... When you lift the log on the knees, you should sit down with it, try to pull it above your belt and then just stand up while pulling the log very hard against the chest.... it rolls up itself then! As soon as the log cleans get easier your pressing weight will go up! | |||

Hey mates, would be nice if someone could come over for the comp! If its to early to plan, dont mind a few months later i wanna organise another comp, this one i will announce some earlier so people can plan it in... About the husafeld: WSM 1992 was indeed 175 kg... but lifted of the floor, this one is lifted of a platform, but its a complete killer!!! Thing said: good stuff young man, but see with the sumo deadlift i know here in scotland its not aloowed in strongman comps, is that the same for holland too? Thanx big guy, youre right about the sumo not being allowed in strongman competition, its the same way here. But i prefer to train it this way for a couple of months including SLDL and GM to see if it gives me the carry-over to conventional deadlift without hurting my lowerback all the time... Hopefully i can strenghten my lowerback with GM and SLDL enough so i wont have the lowerback problems anymore... | |||

The reason for so less deadlift off the floor lately is because i had lots of lowerback problems with regular deadlift all year long.... i was stuck on 190- 195 kg for almost a year while i already could deep squat 180..... So i stopped it for 3 months and started to do GM/Stiff legged DL/ Leg curls heavy/ Squat heavy without any back problems... then after 3 months i did regular DL once again and lifted without backproblems 215kg... so a 20kg improvement after keeping stuck for almost a year!! From this week i m planning to start sumo deadlift caus i know it gives a lot less stress on my Lowerback... I squat pretty wide without problems so i think my DL should go up when i do sumo... Lets try out! Today my Thomas inch 50kg dumbell is ready!! Big ass dumbell.... 2.38 inch handle.... Gonna try some 1handed PP with it tomorrow!! Just lifted it to lockout 1handed with left and right!! Gonna do a complete events training tomorrow!! The competition calander is online now at: http://www.realdutchpower.nl/kalender2008.htm But there can come some changes... caus of comps wich will be announced later.. First comp. on the calander i will organise in april outside my gym...
