Had some generic throat/nose bulls**t. Seems to be getting better now. With a bit of luck I'll be ok to train on Sunday, but probably won't try rack pulls and grip work. Instead, some benching (as this seems to suffer the most from layoffs) and the pull-ups.

Decided I need a new routine with more squatting in it.

Monday
Squat (5x5)
Power Clean

Tuesday
Bench Press (5x5)
Push Press (3x5)

Wednesday
Deadlift
Pull-up
Rear Delt Flyes

Thursday

Friday
Squat (3x8 or triples/doubles for speed or max effort)
Bench Press
Shoulder Press

Saturday

Sunday
Pull-up (5x5/4x6)
Rack Pulls
Grip Work

Calories will be upped and there will be lots of peanut butter, oatmeal and whey.

Also 4x500m rowing sessions on training days.

I like the size limit at the moment. Big avatars suck.

I'd do it for £5.

Yes I used to do 500m and 1000m on a Concept 2. I'm starting them again tomorrow.

Bench feeling much better now. No shoulder pain either.

Quite happy with today.

Aims for next session: 6x3x80kg Bench Press, 3x10x20kg DB Shoulder Press

Mishima, I've never had help with the oly lifts. My form is crap, but I'm working on it. Will get a few videos done.

I tweaked my shoulder over Xmas playing Super Monkey Ball on the Wii, swinging the remote around my head.

Cool
» So who is still a 'powerlifter' at Sugden!? (Go to post)05-01-2007 @ 22:07
Me too. Although I plan on doing more cardio and general strength work (overhead pressing, grip work etc) I don't think my PL numbers are high enough to be negatively affected by this. In fact I think it will do them good.

It tastes like battery acid.

But I've grown to like it.

Finally got to a gym again.

Felt like s**t and hadn't eaten that morning, so it was a crappy session.

Bench
8x20kg
6x40kg
4x60kg
2x85kg
2x85kg
2x85kg
2x85kg
2x85kg
2x85kg

f**king difficult. Felt harder than 90 did. I'll put it down to the long layoff and feeling slightly ill.

Squat
5x20kg
5x60kg
3x80kg
5x90kg - difficult
8x80kg

DB Shoulder Press
7x20kg

Chinup
8xBW
8XBW - nice, considering I've put on about 7kg since I last did them properly.
